Barre Library Association
Founded in 1885, the Barre Library Association (BLA) is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting our community and library. While the Town of Barre provides for the employees and utilities, the BLA built and owns the building and grounds of the library. The BLA has prudently maintained the building through far-sighted management and autonomy while also providing ongoing cultural programming. Through years of small gifts and astute investing, the BLA was able to fund much of the $1.2 million in renovations to maintain the century-old charming Victorian-style building that houses the library. However, now the BLA needs your support to rebuild its trust to pay for ongoing costs to maintain the building. They invite and welcome everyone, Barre resident or not, to join the BLA Friends group. The Barre Library Association is a 501(c)(3) organization; therefore all donations to the association are tax deductible. In a small community it is great to know that your time and financial support makes a difference. You can help this grand institution by donating to the BLA. BLA Board Members
