Children

Come check out our newly-renovated Children's Room because there is plenty for the kids to do here! Our Children's Room is stocked with a huge selection of reading materials, from board books for infants and toddlers to books for advanced reading levels; we also offer a large selection of movie rentals, lullabies on tape and books on tape; we have a puppet theater and an array of puppets so kids can create their own show; a lovely dollhouse full of furniture and dolls; a toddler activity cube; an assortment of puzzles, a preschool computer, and so much more!

In addition, we also offer ongoing age-appropriate programs for the kids:

Preschool Storytime -- Tuesdays at 10:15 am and 11:15 am
Story and activity with Mary Ellen Radziewicz, Youth Services Librarian. No registration is required, and new participants are always welcome! The program lasts 30 minutes and is for children ages 3-6 years old, though younger siblings are welcome if they do not disrupt the class. Check our Events Calendar for details on upcoming stories and accompanying activities.

Together Time -- Thursdays at 10:15 am and 11:15 am
Children ages 3 months to 3 years are invited to sing, dance, and share stories. A child may be older if the parent feels the program is suitable. Drop-ins are welcome and there is no pre-registration.

Quabbin Regional Home School Group -- Tuesdays from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm
This is an inclusive home schooling resource group for families of K-12 school-aged children in the general Quabbin Regional District area. Meeting weekly at Woods Memorial Library, Tuesdays from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm. Younger siblings are welcome. Please join us for resource information, monthly projects, occasional fieldtrips, fellowship, fun and educational gatherings, and common interests! Pajama Storytime -- Wednesdays at 7:00 pm in May and October
There is little better than cozying up with your little one and listening to a story. Join us, slippers and all, for Pajama Storytime, an event the whole family should dress comfortably for! Please check our events calendar for an upcoming list of pajama storytimes.
