BARRE LIBRARY TO SHOWCASE LOCAL STORIES FRIDAY, MARCH 3

Linda Tomasi will serve as Master of Ceremonies at “Tales from the Garden… Think Spring!” a free storytelling event at the Woods Memorial Library (19 Pleasant Street, Barre).  Tomasi will be joined by Julie Rawson, Sue Musnicki, and other local raconteurs to share short personal stories for with gardening and farming.

The evening, which is co-sponsored by Mount Grace Land Conservation Trust and Landry & Meilus LLP.   The themes of the evening are land and neighbors, and the stories reflect life in Barre and the surrounding towns.

The evening will be free-flowing, with storytellers sharing their own stories in their own words. “This isn’t a children’s story hour,” says Tomasi, who also spoke at last year’s “Finding Your Place in the Landscape” storytelling evening which brought a standing room only crowd to the Woods Memorial Library.  “It’s a chance for people in the community to hear real stories.  No handouts, no agenda, just good old-fashioned yarns.”

Refreshments will be provided by Landry & Meilus.   You can RSVP for this free event online at www.mountgrace.org.
