Important Information Regarding SNAP Benefits Due to the Federal Government Shutdown
Beginning November 1, 2025, SNAP participants will not receive new November benefits due to the federal government shutdown. Existing balances on EBT cards remain available, and cards will continue to work at participating retailers. To access November Healthy Incentives Program (HIP) benefits, it’s recommended to keep at least $0.01 on your card.
HIP monthly benefits:
$40 for households of 1–2
$60 for households of 3–5
$80 for households of 6+
Important: WIC and School Meal programs are not affected at this time. SNAP recipients do not need to reapply when the government reopens.
Information about SNAP Benefits is available on the Department of Transitional Assistance website.
